It’s almost like someone changed policies and decided, “okay fellas, the public has become inured to serial killers. They are going out of fashion like bell-bottom jeans. What we need now are mass shooters; you know, so everyone can feel at risk. And if that doesn’t scare the public enough, let’s give them school shooters. The blood of innocents and all that. This will be a perfect excuse for “pre-crime” laws, ostensibly to stop the killing, but the real reason will be to stifle anyone who is a threat to the State.
